Adaptable Studio Space in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Adaptable/modular 1400 sq. ft. (53’x26’, 11.5 ft ceilings) production space located in Gowanus/Park Slope, Brooklyn. Fully equipped for video/photo shoots, production office, shared workspace, post-production and audio work.

- We are COVID-19 safety compliant and can provide those details upon request.
- Re: minimum duration for bookings. In light of the pandemic, we are accepting bookings of 2 days or more only at this time, with groups no larger than 10 people. We will temporarily not be able to accommodate brief hourly rentals (less than 1 day, for ex), or groups larger than 10.
- We can offer DISCOUNT PACKAGES for multi-day rentals - for shoots and small meetings. We are also perfectly set up for those who may be conducting remote classes, workshops and meetings and need a place to instruct from.

- Installed track lighting with moveable heads. Color can be changed out if need be.
- 25000 BTU AC window unit, which serves the space nicely on warmer days
- Photo backgrounds – white, black, gray, greenscreen – ready to use.
- (2) MacPro workstations, fully loaded w/multiple monitors. Great for general work, writing, research, photo editing, video editing.
- Basic grip and lighting gear.
- Printer and fax.
- Gigabit ethernet w/WiFi.
- Freight elevator and loading dock access available.
- Steamer, garment rack, stocked bookshelves, artwork and other props.

Per hour rates vary depending on use of the space. Please inquire for further details and to discuss options but our general rate breakdown is as follows:

  • $45/hr for meetings, small breakout sessions, etc.
  • $55/hr for all production needs, including video/photo shoots, voice-over/ADR sessions, rehearsals, readings, auditions, etc.

Host rules: Some house rules! Anything else, we're happy to discuss on a case-by-case basis. - Non-smoking space. - Some pets allowed upon approval. - Please allow for time to restore the space to original state before vacating, and keep in mind that all rental times should account for setup, teardown and restoration. - Some furniture and decor in the studio may be used by guests only upon approval of host. - Outside food is permitted, but please note that we are not able to provide any catering supplies or support. - All trash generated during booking should be disposed of properly. We'll leave a large trash bag and a recycling bag for your use as a courtesy. Any and all trash should be tied and secured and left in the studio and we will take care of it at end of day. - Please keep in mind that the bathroom, hallways, downstairs lobby and loading dock are all shared communal spaces with our fellow residents, so please be mindful of equipment, any crew activity and supplies throughout your booking. - PLEASE NOTE: We do not give out a set of keys or provide the building access code, for safety reasons. Rest assured, someone will be available to let you in and ensure your team has access to the space.
Additional COVID-19 safety measures:
The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from the CDC
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
